Deepak as a Person
Deepak has faith in God. He seeks blessings of the almighty at the Kasba Ganapati, Dagadusheth Ganpati, Mali Maharaja Math Ravivar Peth and Datta Mandir near Kamla Nehru Park too.
He is a light eater and enjoys simple home cooked food. His all time favorite are Sabudana Khichadi, Idli Sambar, Shevayachi Kheer, Puran Poli, Missal, Kandepohe and Upama.
Low calorie sandwiches from Marzorin on Main Street or Dwarika on Laxmi Road make his gastric juices flow. He is a curd / buttermilk addict (his friends call him Dahi Man) and in fruits he freaks out on apples, watermelon, papayas. He loves to snack at Vaishali on F C Road, his favorite being SPDP idli and dosa. He is a connoisseur of seafood and enjoys fish. Vanilla with hot chocolate is something he can’t resist. At parties you will see him either with black label or white wine or champagne.
He loves to party and celebrate success, his own and of friends too. He is generally the life of a party.
A small town guy, he did his schooling at Athavale Vinay Mandir, Sangli and HHRC Patwardhan High School, Sangli. He went on to Haribhai Deokaran Prashala, Solapur and attended Junior College at Sangameshwar College, Solapur.
A brilliant student from the beginning, his primary school promoted him from standard 3 to 5th. He, thus, passed SSC at the age of 14 & graduated at 20!
Being a scholar, he won Primary and Secondary Scholarships. Acquired more than 97% marks in both PCB & PCM, in standard 12! He had a choice between Medical and Engineering! He actually wanted to become a Doctor, but was denied admission to the Medical college as he was underage. Destiny had some different ideas. He pursued his PHD with Youngsfield University USA and became a Doctor of Philosophy in October 2008. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli in 1985 & stood 6th in the University.
He was also a rank holder during his post graduation in Management. He has always been a versatile all-rounder and was active in his college days in sports and debates too. No ‘dull Jack’ with all study, he loves sports, socializing, partying and has plenty of friends.He is the fellow of Institution of Engineers and Maharashtra Academy of Sciences.

He is Director with many IT ventures like Autoline Design Software ltd, Pure IT, GTT, Seed Infotech, etc.
An Avid Traveler
He has visited 33 countries in the last 15 years for professional and personal reasons. He loves to travel. He has seen most of India, Mahabaleshwar, Goa and Kerala being his favorite holiday destinations in India. He hates to drive and is a good companion if you are willing to drive!
His all time favourite destinations abroad are Swiss Alpes, Scotland, France, Ohio (USA), Kenyan Safari in wild jungles of Africa, Singapore and the list is endless.
London is his favourite city and was fortunate to visit it many times. He was fortunate to witness the all time best world cup semi final tied match Australia Vs South Africa at the Lords in 1999.
When he is in town, he loves trekking the Vetal Tekdi, Parvati hills and National Defense Academy hills.
He enjoys Badminton and Table Tennis, takes to water like a fish and even enjoys Bridge as nourishment to analytical and logical mind!
Walking is his passion too and many times you will find him walking the streets of Pune.
And guess what, our multi-faceted personality loves Bollywood movies too and sometimes even attends premiers of new releases!
He has won many Table Tennis tournaments during his school / college years. He was selected to represent Shivaji University for the same in the year 1983. Also won many trophies in Table Tennis / Bridge at the Rotary Sports Hungama.
He has modeled for Wonder Group and has acted in Marathi movie Rajkaran
The newspaper columnist and The Tutor
Through his writings about IT, he has enthused people from all walks of life, of all ages to acquaint themselves with computers and technology. He has been writing on technology for almost a decade - has written hundreds of articles in newspapers and periodicals, written several books and research papers, some of which were presented at various seminars and conferences in India as well as abroad.
Deepak has been authoring various articles for newspapers and IT magazines. His contention is that more and more people should become aware about information technology.
He has promoted Pune on a range of platforms and focuses on helping people understand technology and benefiting from it. On an average he delivers 3 public lectures per month on enlightening people about IT.
He has written 13 books on IT and won awards twice.

A Voracious Reader
He is a voracious reader. Humor, suspense and philosophy are his favorite. He has always been a fan of Late Shri. P. L. Deshpande. His favourite authors are late Sir Arthur Connon Doyle, Late Earl Stanley Gardner, Bill Gates, Sir Jeffry Archer etc.

The Family Man
He is married to Gauri, a commerce graduate and post graduate in law. She is currently a classical music teacher and a versatile person in her own right. She is Director of Sargam Sangeet Vidyalaya Kothrud which trains over 500 young students annually. She was conferred Vocational Excellence award by Rotary Club of Pune Hillside. She is a Rotarian and is Paul Harris Fellow and currently Director (Public Relations) of R C Pune Shivajinagar.
They are blessed with a son, Vedvrat, who is studying IT programs in Sinhgad College Vedvrat is an IT buff, outgoing and a potential model in 2015.
His parents, Vasudha and Vasudeo are enjoying their retired life in Pune.
His sister, Priya, a cost accountant, is married to Manoj Hardikar an entrepreneur and they have a son Tarang.
