During his academic and professional
years and as a Rotarian, Deepak came across many people who
loved to work with him. They could make out the brilliant
streak in him.
Here’s what they have to say about
him
Dr. Sudhir Rashingkar Past District Governor, Rotary dist
3130
One
man makes the difference and that’s Rotarian Deepak
Shikarpur .
‘One man makes the difference’ goes the
saying in Management Principles. Given a similar situation,
opportunities and resources, he makes the best of it,
gives best results and is successful. Somebody who applies
his mind, utilizes resources optimally, achieves the
best results and surfaces as a leader. “I am not
exaggerating when I say that Deepak Shikarpur is a person
of this tribe” says Dr. Sudhir Rashingkar, Past
District Governor, Rotary dist 3130.
Year
2005 - 06, Deepak’s tenure as President, has seen
the club perform excellent projects and having wonderful
public relations, thereby enhancing the image, which
is Rotary’s area of high importance.
He has written books and articles in Marathi, making
it easy for the common man to access computers and IT.
His work has been recognized by the Government of Maharshtra.
He has bought about many radical changes at the Maratha
Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, the
Computer Society of India, the University of Pune as
well as the Rotary Club, Pune Shivajinagar. His work
in this field is never ending and every day, he brings
out new ideas and strives hard to bring them to reality.
I find him to be person without any complexes. He mixes
feely in any type of gatherings, expresses his views
forthrightly and once takes an assignment, throws himself
in fully to make his ideas come to reality. His enthusiasm
sometimes makes others feel frightened!
Mr. Deepak Shikarpur came in contact with me about 5-6
years ago, and since than I have come to know him, I
believe, reasonably well. He is a very warm and friendly
person. He has no Hype about himself and is reasonably
down to earth. He is dedicated to whatever he undertakes,
and finishes the job for which he assumes responsibility,
sincerely and with great enthusiasm. He has a very helpful
nature and many a times goes out of the way to help
people. He is of course very knowledgeable in the IT
field and keeps track of all the new developments. He
also has a very effective network, both professionally
and personally. He is young and ambitious and I wish
him great success in all his endeavors.

Mr. Deepak Shikarpur is known to me since the day of
starting his career as a Graduate Engineer in Tata Engineering
( TELCO now Tata Motors ). I noticed his intelligence
coupled with aggressive nature and tremendous people
management skills. His ability to comprehend the problem
in totality supported by his hardwork put him on the
fast track of his career growth. Marketing of software
package in India in eighties was a great challenge and
Deepak succeeded very well. He, right from the early
days developed his "network" outside the organization
and also worked on different initiatives. It is because
of this ability he could take on many challenges and
succeed.Deepak is now an icon not only in IT field but
also in education..

What makes one human different from the others?; it
is behavioral pattern and sensitivity to surroundings
and by this I mean humans response to the things that
happen in the Society.
The 21st century society is looking for individuals
who are sensitive to rapidly changing and very disturbing
environment and who believe that change could be brought
by thinking positively and doing sustainable positive
things all the time.
Deepak is one such rare human, who thinks about everyone
and believes that a Greater and Brighter Future is round
the corner for India Youth. A rare specie indeed.

I have known Deepak now for a couple of years and though
I consider him as one of my dear friends who is completely
dependable and always ready with a solution, I am still
a little skeptical about using the word "known".
When Deepak asked me to pen down a few things about
him, I thought let me make a list of his virtues and
then elaborate on each with an example. I started and
then realized that this approach will not work as its
not possible to limit in list a person like Deepak who
is constantly evolving and growing and more important
making others grow with him.
All our interactions have been brief and to the point,
each being a perfect example of time management. The
focus is never lost and there is no time for that extra
word or the unnecessary exchange of necessity and a
smile. "Hm Bol followed by an attentive silence-a quick
solution - and the conclusive ok" has always been the
pattern of our phone conversations. And it wont be exaggeration
if I say that every interaction is a lesson in itself
about work, achieving goals, focus in life and complete
professionalism.
Every email is answered, every missed call is returned,
with amazing networking skills Deepak can be at numerous
places at one time doing complete justice to whatever
he has committed to do. Sometime. .. or rather most
of the times blunt and direct Deepak will not hesitate
from speaking his mind.
Hearing Deepak speak on technology and the simplicity
with which he can put a very complex issue across to
audiences is a treat in itself. I am a lawyer who learnt
argument and presentation techniques and skills in a
law school and now makes a living out of conducting
and arguing cases before judges. But what I learnt from
Deepak in terms of presentation, body language, ease,
simplicity and complete confidence is something I was
never taught in a law school.
The opinion Deepak has about lawyers in general need
not be written here as its not very flattering but in
spite of this we have managed to become good friends.
I consider myself very fortunate to be associated with
Deepak and wish him all the success. .
