People Who Have Inspired Me
Deriving Inspiration

During my formative years, there were many people who inspired me, touched my life in a very positive way, encouraged me to do my best ..
Late JRD Tata - founder of the Tata Empire
Nothing worthwhile in life is achieved without vision and hard work
I was fortunate to meet him in the year 1985 at a training session at TMTC.
Mr N R Narayan Murthy - Chairman and Chief Mentor Infosys Technologies
Objective of Business is creation of wealth and Objective of life is to distribute fairly
I first met him in Cebit ‘92 at Hannover and later on many occasions at NASSCOM.
Mr Azim Premji Chairman of Wipro
Mr. Murthy and Mr Azim Premji, Chairman, Wipro are true role models for many including me as their vision, clarity and being down to earth despite success encourages all with energy to win against all odds. They live a simple life despite being among the richest people of this world.
Late Dewang Mehta
Late Mr. Dewang Mehta inspired me to write books in Marathi for the common man, made me think beyond the profession, was my guru in public speaking and taught me how to touch the right chord when addressing public gatherings. I also learnt from him how to befriend politicians, media and celebrities.
Padmashree Dr Vijay P Bhatkar
Padmashree Dr. Vijay P Bhatkar taught me how to remain simple and compassionate despite achieving position of power.
Padmashree Lila F Poonawalla
A true fighter and an achiever armed with vision, aggression, focus, discipline and dedication. That’s Padmashree Mrs. Lila F Poonawalla for me. As Managing Director, Alfa Laval, she was my customer when I worked for Telco. Alfa Laval had identified us to undertake an ERP study in 1995. She was accessible even then. I came in contact with her after 10 years and now we are very good friends.
Tarita Wakalkar Mehendale
I found similar traits in Ms. Tarita Wakalkar Mehendale, Chairperson, Indira Group of Institutes. She is a go-getter, goal congruent, focused, has achieved success the hard way and yet, is fun loving and knows how to take success in her stride and celebrate it gracefully.
Ganesh Natarajan CEO Zensar
Writer, speaker, CEO, management practitioner and a strong motivator Mr. Ganesh Natarajan is a dear friend who honours all commitments made to a friend – or anyone, for that matter. I have learnt from him some finer aspects of time management and the skill of doing multiple things at the same time.
My friend, Minochar Patel - Director Ecol Solitaire
Groomed me. His style of making people feel at ease with carefully crafted humor makes him worth listening to again and again. He knows how to use the right points at the right time that makes him a trainer par excellence.
Mr Anand K Pathak.
I found similar traits in my mentor at the Computer Society of India Mr. Anand K Pathak. Both these gentlemen really live by the true sense of the word ‘gentleman.’
Dr S B Mujumdar (Founder Director Symbiosis)
Dr. Mujumdar and I have shared some great moments together and have held discussions on entrepreneurship. He has influenced me not as an academician but as an entrepreneur who founded Symbiosis. A botany teacher who rose to Himalayan heights.
Mr S D Pradhan (Former CEO of Tata Technologies)
Mr. Pradhan and I spent around 15 years together professionally and I learnt from him the qualities of tolerance, patience and how to keep feet firmly grounded despite achieving success in life. Not once did he throw weight around as a boss. He was always a friend, philosopher and guide.
Mr Ravi Pandit (President MCCIA)
I am tempted to call the very affable Ravi Pandit, the Dev Anand of the Indian IT industry. How can anyone remain so young and energetic is something I am still trying to learn from him.
