“I have known Deepak for more than 15 years. I
still remember him as a young, enthusiastic, IT professional
who used to take keen interest in Computer Society of
India’s activities in the early ‘90s. He
had worked as Hon. treasurer, Hon. Secretary and Vice
Chairman of the Chapter and contributed significantly.
Because of his thrust to promote IT, leadership qualities
and contributions to the chapter he became the youngest
Chairman of CSI, Pune Chapter in the year 1997.
As the Chairman of CSI, Pune Chapter, he had organized
many seminars, conferences and workshops on latest
topics and technology. He succeeded in getting experts,
academicians and professionals on a common platform
and resolve issues through discussions and ensured
the implementation of new technologies.
During my period as the President of CSI, Deepak helped
me, as an Executive Director, in increasing membership
to a record height. He assisted in supporting new
initiatives such as eGovernance and software testing
and promoting various awards and thereby recognizing
talents and services of IT professionals. During this
time, CSI took part in many international activities
and signed MOUs with other professional bodies such
as IEEE, IFIP and AIC.
Deepak is a hard working person. He can get along
with the people. He understands the requirements of
time and focuses on vision and goals. He has an aptitude
to use electronic and IT for daily usage. I think
he must be spending more time on cell phone than talking.
He has very good presentation and communication skills.
He has excellent marketing abilities. He commands
leadership with ease but also takes care of everyone
in the team. Sometimes he becomes emotional on subjects
and people close to him.
IT revolution is taking place in India. We, Indians,
are being recognized as world IT leaders and our software
professionals have been recognized world over. I am
sure that Deepak has played a meaningful role and
contributed in achieving success in IT through CSI.
I wish him best of Luck!”
